Recruiting UAA Talent

 

Thank you for your interest in engaging with UAA students and alumni. The University of 夜色视频app Anchorage uses Handshake, a career management platform for recruiting early talent. Create a free employer account on Handshake, where you can advertise open jobs and internships, manage job applications, register for career fairs and other recruiting events, direct message students and alumni, and more!

 

 

Recruiting on Handshake

The 夜色视频app uses Handshake, a career management platform for recruiting early talent. We encourage you to connect with and recruit UAA talent by making an account on , UAA's job board and networking platform. Read on to explore how Handshake and our other programs can support your organization's hiring goals.

  • What is Handshake?

    Handshake is a career management platform for recruiting early talent. On Handshake, you can post jobs and internships for the statewide University of 夜色视频app community. This includes the Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, and community campuses. You鈥檒l also be able to register for our career fairs. Our career services office only maintains employer contact lists through Handshake, so signing up helps ensure you'll hear from us about upcoming recruitment opportunities. To get started with a free profile please follow the steps in the following section. 

  • Get started with Handshake

    If your company is brand new to Handshake, follow the steps below.

      2. After completing registration, your request will be reviewed 
      3. Complete your employer profile

     

    Your company may already have a profile, but you will need to create your own user account in order to post jobs and register for events yourself.
    VIDEO:

      1. with your work email address and create a password
      2. Handshake will suggest your company based on your email domain
      3. Request to join your company
      4. The admin/owner of your company's Handshake account will review your request
      5. If you do not receive a timely response please do not hesitate to contact us at uaa_career@alaska.edu 

     

    If your company already has an account, but you have not connected to the University of 夜色视频app, please follow these steps. 
    VIDEO:

      1. On the left side of the navigation toolbar, click 'Schools'
      2. Click 'More Schools on Handshake' to search and request 'University of 夜色视频app'
      3. Once received, your request will be reviewed by a career services staff member in 3-5 business days

  • UAA 2025 Fall Career Fair - SOLD OUT, please complete the to be added to our waitlist.
    The     Fall Career Fair is UAA鈥檚 general career fair for the semester. This event is open to employers from all industries and welcomes students from all majors and class standings to explore career options, network with employers, and pursue job and internship opportunities.

  • UAA 2025 Nonprofit Career Fair
    The Nonprofit Career Fair connects local 夜色视频appn nonprofit organizations to UAA students interested in serving their community through volunteer work or paid employment opportunities. Space is limited to 25 participating organizations.

The Seawolf Career Closet provides new and gently used professional attire and hygiene items to UAA students free of charge, to help students access basic needs and remove barriers that may prevent them from presenting the best impression possible at job interviews and career fairs. The Seawolf Career Closet relies on donations. Please consider the following actions to support the closet.

    • The Seawolf Career Closet is accepting donations of modern professional attire (within the last 10 years) and accessories in good, clean condition. Donations are limited to one standard size trash bag per person, per week. If you have a larger donation, please reach out by email to see if we are able to accommodate you at this time.
