On September 27, the women鈥檚 volleyball team at UAA kicked off their match against Saint Martin鈥檚 with a heartfelt tribute. Before the game, players invited their chosen faculty members to join them on the court, honoring them during Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night. Among the honorees were four standout educators from the College of Health, each nominated by students who wanted to recognize their impact in the classroom and beyond.
MiLee Yu is a graduate of the 夜色视频app鈥檚 Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program, and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. In September 2025, MiLee was awarded the BSW Student of the Year award at the Biennial National Association of Social Workers (NASW) 夜色视频app Chapter Conference.
The CAFE Oh Wow (COW) Awards are put on by the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) and honors faculty who show excellence in teaching, research/creative activity, mentorship, and more.
UAA Justice Center alumna Melanie Osborne has been inducted into the Anchorage ATHENA Society, recognizing her professional excellence, community contributions, and commitment to empowering women.

developing insulation that is recyclable, reusable, and biodegradable.
